Mulberry Cottage is nestled in the heart of the Northleach, a quiet street behind the market square close to all the amenities as well as the award winning Wheatsheaf Inn with its fabulous food and atmosphere and the newly opened Sherbourne Arms which is already winning awards for its great menu and wines.  There is a butchers, local convenience store (open 8.00am -8.00pm) as well as a post office and pharmacy.

Mulberry Cottage is a traditional Cotswold Cottage but with all the modern things you will need in life.  It has two floors, a delightful open plan living/dining/kitchen space, large bedroom and bathroom with a very large vintage bath as well as a separate shower.

The living room has a Log Burner and Smart TV and Sonos for you to watch and listen to any of your favorite shows and sounds.

The kitchen leads to a  private courtyard garden with outside lights and 3 Apple Trees.  It has a table and chairs for outside dining as well as a sofa and umbrella to enjoy reading and relaxing.

We are completely dog friendly and this provides a safe outside space for both you and your dog to enjoy.

Upstairs is the bedroom which has a King Size Bed with a super comfy Hypnos mattress with silky smooth 400+ thread count cotton bed linen.

We also have a vintage bath that is both enormous and comfy to soak in as well as a separate shower, complete with Egyptian cotton towels providing a lovely place to relax and unwind after a day out in the Cotswolds.

Parking

Guests can unload their car outside the property and there is free unrestricted on street parking available just around the corner as well as parking both in and behind the market square.

In order for guests to relax on their last morning, we have a later check out of 11.00 allowing you not to rush ending your well earned break.

Neighbourhood

Northleach is a quiet historic small market town nestled in the centre of the Cotswolds and just off the roman road, the Fosse Way (A429), 10 miles from Cirencester and just south of Stow-on-the-Wold.  Northleach has the famous church of St Peter and St Paul. Well known for its beautiful bell chimes which you will hear from the cottage and has had some famous  people singing in the church including Eric Clapton.

The town hosts a market every Wednesday, which showcases local produce and locals and tourists alike come to the town.

The annual Northleach Charter Fair and Music Festival in June is an event to suit all ages.

Northleach is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with:

• Cycling routes and walking trails both to drive to as well as on doorstep.

• Towns to visit, Cirencester, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton in Marsh, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chedworth, the home to the Roman Villa which is owned by the National Trust.

• Daylesford • Diddly Squat Farm • Adam Henson's Farm • Beer and Gin Tasting experiences • Antique and Home Design Shops All are within easy reach and well worth a visit.

Transport

 Northleach is conveniently located just off the A40 just 15 minutes from Cheltenham and only two hours from London. Nearest Train stations are: Morton-on-the-Marsh, Kingham and Cheltenham

From Oxford/London - Approach Northleach on A40 Oxford Cheltenham your SATNAV will take you into Northleach high street. As you come off the A40 you will eventually come into Northleach. You will pass a number of houses with cars parked either side and as you approach the centre and the market square, the road will bend and narrow. There is a road on the right hand side called Farmington Road, Turn left directly after Farmington Road (Budgens sign on your left). Do not listen to your SATNAV after that, follow the small lane past car park and Butchers on the left, round a left corner and Mulberry Cottage is the first cottage of a line of cottages on the left. It is directly next to a public footpath and sign College Row is directly below the living room window.

From Cirencester - Follow the signposts to Stow-on-the-Wold (A429 Fosse Way) and you will come to set of lights approx 10 miles from Cirencester, at bottom of the hill. Turn right into Northleach. Follow main road you will pass The Wheatsheaf Inn on left and then come to the Market Square. Turn right immediately after the market square (Budgen shop and sign on corner). Follow the small lane past car park and Butchers on left, round corner and Mulberry Cottage is the first cottage of a line of cottages on left. It is directly next to a public footpath and sign College Row is directly below the living room window.

From Cheltenham - On A40 10 miles out of Cheltenham you will come to a roundabout, take 3rd exit signposted Cirencester (A429) Fosse Way). Follow this road down a hill to a set of traffic lights and turn left at the lights and following the instructions above directly (Cirencester directions) to the Cottage.
